I am a Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics, Stockholm University and the Deputy Head of Department.
Most of my work addresses macroeconomic performance over different horizons. My main fields of interest are:
Wage setting and economic performance.
The implications of fiscal and monetary regimes.
Exchange rate dynamics.
Institutions and long-run growth.
I am a member of the Swedish Fiscal Policy Council (Finanspolitiska rådet), the board of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen), the Macroeconomic council of the National Institute of Economic Research (Konjunkturinstitutet), the Scientific Council of the Swedish National Debt Office (Riksgäldskontoret) and Associate Editor of the Scandinavian Journal of Economics.
I am also the Director of the Center for Monetary Policy and Financial Stability (CeMoF).
